Information session on the use of qualitative methods for causal inference
Register for the session here
Impact assessments can be developed using a variety of methodologies, both quantitative and qualitative. Causal impact assessments mostly relied on quantitative methods, either experimental or quasi-experimental. The objective of this information session is to understand the possibilities and array of options on how qualitative methods can be used for causal inference.
This information session will provide an overview of using qualitative (or non-statistical) methodologies for causal inference. It will explore the different approaches to causality, such as the successionist, configurational, complex and generational views, as well as the utility of theory-based approaches. Please note this is an informational session to build understanding of the approaches, not an in-depth training on how to implement the methodologies.
