Dimitris Renmans

Bio

Dimitri Renmans is an assistant professor of health policy and systems at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (Belgium). He has a PhD in development studies from the University of Antwerp on performance-based financing in the health care sector of Uganda. He is the founder and coordinator of the 'All Realists Group', a group that meets regularly to discuss topics related to realist evaluation. He teaches courses on evaluation, health systems, politics in health, and project planning. His research interests concern critical realism and mechanisms, social science theories, artificial intelligence and health care systems, performance-based financing and systems thinking. His current work in realism centres on the use of social science theories, abstraction and generalization.
