Two women farmers working in the field

CGIAR Gender Equality and Inclusion Accelerator is joining the UNFCCC COP 30 in Belem, Brazil. This event will be held on 14 November 2025 at the EMBRAPA, AGRIZONE; Auditorium 3.

Session Overview

As momentum builds toward the 2026 Year of the Woman Farmer, this dialogue aims to make a strong case for increased and sustained investment in young women and youth as catalysts for equitable, resilient, and sustainable food, land, and water systems. Through showcasing successful gender-responsive, youth-led innovations, participants will explore actionable models and pathways for impact. The event also provides a platform for inclusive dialogue on financing, policy, and research approaches that prioritize equity and representation. By amplifying young women’s voices in agricultural research for development (AR4D), this convening will generate concrete outcomes to inform and influence agendas at national, regional, and global levels.
