Pull-Push Project: Incentivizing food safety in urban informal markets in Sub-Saharan Africa. Consumer Panel Surveys - Dire Dawa and Harar, Ethiopia

Abstract

Two-wave panel consumer survey (baseline pre-intervention and endline post-intervention), sample size = 765. Baseline was conducted from February to March 2022, Endline was conducted from January to February 2023. The intervention was a consumer behavior change campaign to empower consumers to purchase safe tomatoes at the market and safely handle and prepare tomatoes in the household. Data collected before and after the intervention includes self-reported food safety behavior, knowledge and attitudes.
