Abstract
Adolescents and food environments:
• Food environments – the space where consumers interact with the food system to make food decisions: acquiring, preparing, eating.
• They shape consumer behavior and food choice by influencing food availability, access and desirability.
• Improving adolescents' diets requires understanding their values and interactions within their (changing) food environments.
