Bio

Shelley Feldman, longtime CGIAR collaborator, who was central to the GENNOVATE program, was University Professor of Development Sociology, Cornell University 1984-2016, Professor of Sociology, Binghamton University, and Senior Fellow, Max-Weber-Kolleg für kultur-und sozialwissenschaftliche Studien, Universität Erfurt, Germany 2019-2022. A scholar of Bangladesh, she has published widely in journals that include Journal of Peasant Studies, REVIEW, Interventions, Globalizations, and Historical Sociology, and edited books including Accumulating Insecurity: Violence and Dispossession in the Making of Everyday Life, and Unequal Burden: Economic Crises, Persistent Poverty, and Women’s Work.
